About Course
Welcome to your NFPA 1006 Surface Water Rescue course. Here, you’ll gain the essential knowledge to assess water hazards, assess sites and develop pre-plans, develop and utilize incident action plans, and manage patients safely in surface water environments. Each lesson will help you make critical decisions and act confidently during real surface water emergencies, ensuring professional and safe responses.
This program is intended for fire service and rescue personnel that respond to surface water rescue incidents and work within an established Incident Management System. It provides all required requisite knowledge to proceed to practical training and ProBoard certification.
